Back story:
History: Dante grew up with just a mother, his father walking out on him the day he was born. Growing up without a father was tough for him; he never had the male rolemodel to show him the right things to do, or how to handle situations his mother couldn't understand. His mother let him do just about anything he wanted, as long as he was happy. Dante realized this, but he never actually took advantage about it. Throughout elementry school, Dante was the top student of his class in all grades, but once he hit the seventh grade everything went down hill for him. His grades started to drop, and he hung around bad people. So once he got to high school, he decided that he would do better for his mother. But, he didn't. He started to party, drink, having underage sex, getting high and soon enough, he got kicked out of his high school for failing his classes. He was then transfered to Whisper Hollow, a school he hated much. But on the bright side, his best friend from childhood, Nixon Hale, is attending that same school. Not excited, but a bit content on knowing this, he tried to have a better perpesctive toward this new high school only because of Nixon. Nixon had always been there for him through Dante's rough patches, and they had never fought once as kids. Maybe a couple of fist fights here and there, but hey, that's what guys do. Now at this new school, Whisper Hollow, Dante has actually brought his grades up, and has attended ALL of his classes. For the first time, that is.
