Back Story:
History: Pearson was born and raise in an African-American neighborhood in Harlem, New York City. He and his older brother were brought up by their mother only, after the dad had left the family. She died, when Kendell was 13 years old. The kids than moved to Charleston, South Dakota, where their aunt lived. She took care of the two boys. Kendell graduated from a local high school, where he played varsity football for 3 years (cornerback) and soccer for 2 years. After that, he worked at a gym in St.George, SC, before attending North Carolina State University, where he recieved an academic training in physical education and sports psychology. Pearson taught PE and coached at middle schools in Raleigh and Fayetville, NC for 3 years. His last employment was at a Senior High School in Harlem, where he was a Weight Lifting teacher and defense coach of the football team as well. But he had to leave that school, because of disagreements with the principal.
