Appearance: Kael is slenderly built but well rounded enough not to appear disproportioned. He appears to be thin and wear concealing clothing so that people don't normally know he is in fact very well toned and muscled, his muscle is merely compact. He has striking eyes which seem to shift between the grey-blue-green spectrum. He inherited these eyes form his mother and he remembers her every time he sees them in a mirror. Apart form his eyes he also inherited a beautiful face, although which parent this is form is a coin toss because they both had slender and pretty faces instead of his father having a traditionally “handsome” one
Kael's back and forearms are covered in scars because of the fire he lost his parents in. These scars cover his spine and extend out around to his sides, as such he wears bandages to cover them He also wears bandages over his forearms.On top of the burn scars he also has scars from where glass and wood splinters cut him during the fire, including one prominent gash which extends down his back and starts towards the back of his neck at the left hand side.
Kael also has a tenancy to wear eye make-up at times, he is comfortable enough with his sexuality to recognise that the way he looks best is as an effeminate boy, which he likes because it suits his gothic style of clothing well.
Relations:
Sexuality: Kael is straight but before the accident was fun loving and flirty with everyone, a trait which sometimes slips through. He used to be a bit of a ladies man and is well versed in the art of lovemaking, priding himself in the fact that he considers any night where he doesn't give the woman three orgasms a bad night
Fetishes: Kael doesn't really have fetishes however he does have preferences, he prefers girls who like darker fashions such – goths and scene girls, emo girls and the like. He doesn't mind what height the girl is although with scene girls he prefers them shorter, goth girls tall and slender.

Back story:
History: Kael was born in Scotland in a town outside of glasgow called East Kilbride. His mother and father were fairly well off and both were very intelligent. His mother made her money as an author although by the time she had Kael she had finished her first trilogy and was into a period of time where she could do as she wished. She still wrote from time to time, taking down notes for new ideas, but more than anything else she went back to her old hobbies and brushed up on skills. She practised on her piano until she could play at a professional level. This skill was probably bolstered by the fact that she seemed to be able to make the infant Kael happy and cheer him up by playing certain melodies – of course being a child he always seemed to pick the difficult ones.
Kaels father on the other hand was a Private Investigator. He was very good at his job and worked hard to put the worst people away, glad that he could take on the jobs he wanted to without havign to worry about money because of his brilliant wife. He was perfectly suited to the job, compassionate, insightful and - to top it all off – a genius. He spent his spare time fixing up old motorbikes and training in martial arts. They were good people, two of the the best and brightest it could be said.
Everything was pretty easy, virtually perfect in fact, up until Kael started to attend nursery. It was found that he would sit and look at an item for long periods of time, examining it and and manipulating it, he seemed completely apart form the rest of the world. His parents would have been worried but they already had an idea of what it was. His father had low latent inhibition and it appears his son had inherited it. This meant that when looking at an object or scenario he didn't see the object but everything that made up the object. This “disorder” - for lack of a better term – can lead to most commonly creative genius or mental retardation, the former being more common in people with high intelligence the later being more common in people with low intelligence. Luckily for Kael it seemed he had a high intelligence, the low latent inhibition heightened his learning ability and creativity to the point where he was – although the term is overused these days – a true genius.
Because of his father's previous experience with low latent inhibition Kael's life was far easier than it can be for some people with the disorder. He learned how to deal with it and cope with things and was given all the creative outlets he needed to stay fully functioning. By the time he was ten he could play violin and piano masterfully and was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He learned to paint and write and everything seemed to be going well, he skipped two years in school and ended up in his sixth year of highschool when he was sixteen.
The incident happened halfway through his sixth year, one night while he and his parents were asleep a criminal that his father was helping track down broke into the house and started a fire, it quickly spread, the smell of smoke woke Kael and he realised what was going on just as he saw the garage go up in flames and a figure run out into the night. He jumped out of bed, he was wearing jeans having fallen asleep while reading a book. The next thing he knew he was running down the hallway to wake up his parents, he had grabbed his mobile phone on his way out the room and had called the fire department, screaming at his parents to wake them up. The woke with a start as the fire started to climb the stairs, the air getting thin and making it harder to breath.
Thinking quickly his father rushed them into the en suite bathroom, taking the shower and soaking them to try and protect them from the flames. They ran through the house, almost at the door when Kael heard a creaking sound, one of the crossbeams of the house fell on him. He only just managed to protect his head but his forearms and back got badly burned as he was knocked out and sent sprawling across the room.
He woke up in hospital a few days later, his friends from school beside him, they shouted for the doctors when they saw his eyes flutter open. When he asked about his parents though all he got were looks of sorrow and pity. He knew the worst had happened, he heard that they had died heroically, his father had dragged him out from under the crossbeam and had used his own body to shield his son from the explosive increase in the fire when he threw open the back door, he had died of his burns later that night. His mother had died because she inhaled too much smoke and collapsed, his father had tried to go back for her but his body gave way to the pain. The firemen arrived only a minute too late to save her.
Kael was numb, he went back to school when his wounds were healed and everything seemed to be fine, but his life had changed, he wasn't as bubbly any more, his friends couldn't seem to get as close to him as they used to. He got on with things, concentrating on work so that he could get by. It was working – he even managed to give evidence against the man who started the fire. He became emancipated after a fashion, recognising his rights as an adult. He had no family and no one else to turn to but his friends, but he kept moving forwards. Then it happened.
A couple of weeks after things had started to settle down Kael came across one of his friends being hassled by a boy in Kael's year. He had friends of varying ages and this was one of the younger ones, a boy Kael's age. The older boy was pushing Kael's friend and Kael walked over, calmly, somewhat detached, he said “Leave him alone, he hasn't done anything to you.” What the bully did next is possibly the most foolish thing he will ever do in his life.
He turned to Kael and sneered. Recognising him and knowing what had happened to his parents he said “Shut up orphan boy, go cry to your dead mother, maybe she can give you a lay while you're at it.” - now this as you might imagine did not go down well with Kael, insulting someone who has been training in martial arts all their life is a mistake in general, but someone who is a certified creative genius who has just lost their parents. Then making it worse by insulting those dead parents and tarnishing their memories. You might as well hang yourself.
Kael grabbed the boy's hair without a word, the boy opened his mouth to ask Kael what the fuck he thought he was doing, but never got a chance as Kael slammed his head into the wall, embedding it through the wall and into the classroom behind it. He then kicked the boy in the backside hard enough tor push him head and shoulders through the wall, pinning his arms to his sides and holding him fast. Then he calmly walked through into the classroom, waved to the teacher saying “don't mind me” and walked past the students who had been in the process of packing up from the creative writing club. He went up to the boy and drew back his fist, pounding him after saying each word of the sentence “Never talk about my parents again”
The boy was knocked out cold, but Kael wasn't finished, he wrote above him on the wall “One free hit per person” then went outside the classroom and wrote “Kick me all you want” above the boy on that side. Needless to say Kael as promptly expelled, although his record was show that he “left voluntarily” because of an understanding of Kael's fragile mental status at that time, he was allowed to sit his final exams and passed them all with flying colours. Then he moved to America.
He took all the money he had and moved over, although he quickly found out he was not allowed to apply to university until he resat his final two years of school because of an error in the computer system. That was a couple of months ago, over the past few months he has built a reputation as a quiet guy, he bought a garage and put the rest of the money in various safety deposit boxes and bank accounts, learning from his dad that you could never be too safe with money.
Since moving into the High School Dorms he has made only one real friend, a boy name Seb Green who he found was his neighbour, they get along well although and Kael seems to be able to recapture some of his old self when he's around his friend. A feeling he cherishes and is glad he can experience in some form.
